1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron
Hurlburt Field, FL

"Protect Who?...Protect You!" The battle cry of the 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron reflects their worldwide mission--providing unequalled force protection for special operations. Approximately 270 security forces members provide physical security, entry control, armed response and police services to Hurlburt Field. They also deploy around the globe to defend AFSOC resources and troops in support of 1st Special Operations Wing and United States Special Operations Command missions. This unique unit also operates one of the busiest small arms ranges in the Air Force, providing combat arms training and maintenance to Hurlburt Field, Eglin AFB, and Duke Field.

The 2 SFS provides force protection, security, police and investigative services, military working dog and game warden support for the 2nd Bomb Wing and its mission partners during peace, contingency or war. Ultimately, the 2 SFS maintains law and order for military, civilian and retirees on a 22,000 acre base.

7th Security Forces Squadron
Dyess AFB, TX

The 7th Security Forces Squadron protects operational resources on the flightline and patrols the entire base in a law enforcement role. They conduct law enforcement and force protection for a population of 8,500 on a 7,016 acre base. The unit maintains a continuous presence in Southwest Asia and keeps several mobility teams in peak readiness for worldwide contingency deployment. The squadron also functions as a base and local community support agency providing services such as pass and registration, combat arms training, armory, investigations, military working dogs and drug abuse resistance education for students.

9th Security Forces Squadron
Beale AFB, CA

The 9th Security Forces Squadron serves a dual function of providing protection for national defense assets on Beale Air Force Base as well as a full range of professional police services for base residents.

The squadron's responsibilities include controlling entry to the installation, protecting protection-level and non protection-level resources, guarding funds and firearms storage facilities, providing information security support, training and equipping home station and deployed unit personnel, and supplying investigative services and liaison with civil and federal law enforcement agencies. Additionally, the unit trains weapons knowledge and firing through its Combat Arms section for all base personnel and maintains both explosive and narcotics military working dogs.

10th Security Forces Squadron
US Air Force Academy, CO

The 10th Security Forces Squadron conducts law enforcement duties along with security and antiterrorism operations to protect the U.S. Air Force Academy. The 10th SFS is also responsible for the safety and security of hundreds of thousands of visitors at NCAA Division I football games, annual cadet-related activities and other special events. The 10th SFS integrates seamlessly with other agencies to provide flawless security for distinguished visitors, including the president and vice president of the United States. The squadron also conducts combat arms training for personnel at the Academy and at Peterson and Schriever Air Force bases.

11th Security Forces Group
Andrews AFB, MD

The 11th Security Forces Group's mission is to secure, protect and defend Air Force weapons systems, air base assets, personnel and resources. ​the 11 SFG contains over 800 personnel and is organized into three squadrons – the 11th Security Forces Squadron, the 811th Security Forces Squadron, and the 11th Security Support Squadron.

11th Security Forces Squadron

​11th Security Forces Squadron enforces laws and carries out installation security ensuring the protection for all the wing’s personnel and $6.2 billion in DOD resources. At any given time, approximately 50 Defenders are deployed supporting combatant commanders overseas.

11th Security Support Squadron

​The 11th Security Support Squadron (SSPTS) provides integrated defense and security planning, resource protection and physical security policy and visitor control and vehicle registration for Joint Base Andrews. The squadron also provides law enforcement, security, and ground combat skills training for the 800 Defenders assigned to the 11 SFG. The 11 SSPTS operates the Air Force’s largest kennel Military Working Dog Section with 31 canines assigned. Military working dogs, accompanied by their Airmen handlers, work to detect explosive materials designed to harm our personnel and families both at home station and deployed locations around the world. The 11 SSPTS Combat Arms Training and Maintenance Section provides weapons training for over 6,000 Airmen assigned to the National Capital Region.

811th Security Forces Squadron

The 811th Security Forces Squadron operates the largest executive security mission in the Air Force, they ensure around-the-clock protection of the Air Force One complex and provide executive protection for the President and other senior leaders as they transit the installation. Their Executive Aircraft Security Section secures aircraft for Congressional Delegates, the Secretaries of Defense and State, the First Lady, Foreign Dignitaries while providing a dedicated security team for the Vice President.

20th Security Forces Squadron
Shaw AFB, SC

The 20th Security Forces Squadron protects and defends Shaw Air Force Base personnel and resources through the application of weapons systems security; police services; combat arms; military working dogs; air base defense; and anti terrorism operations 24 hours a day/seven days a week. The unit encompasses three installation entry points, a Visitor Control Center, law enforcement patrols, flight line security, an investigative branch, Combat Arms Training and the Expeditionary Combat Skills Training center. Members of the unit conduct law enforcement and community policing functions throughout the base and the Shaw Military Family Housing community. This includes enforcing all speed limits and rules of the road. The Pass and Registration office, located in the Support Center building, issues all school passes, vehicle decals and flight line badges. The Combat Arms Flight administers all weapons training to wing personnel and the armory handles the storage of personally owned weapons. Any Challenge. Anytime. Anywhere. ... Shaw Defenders are ready!

21st Security Forces Squadron
Peterson AFB, CO

The 21st Security Forces Squadron headquarters is located in Bldg. 1376 and is responsible for the overall security of the people and property on Peterson Air Force Base. The security forces mission is to safeguard the people, property and resources located on Peterson Air Force Base and Colorado's Front Range. 

The squadron maintains the second-largest military working dog kennel in the U.S. and deploys combat ready, warrior Airmen worldwide.

22nd Security Forces Squadron
McConnell AFB, KS

The 22nd Security Forces Squadron provides superb force protection and mission assurance on McConnell AFB for 15,000 Active duty, Guard, and Reserve customers and the KC-135 tanker fleet. The squadron uses active and passive defense measures in order to mitigate potential risks and defeat adversarial threats, as well as promote public order. These measures directly contribute to McConnell's Integrated Defense and encompass multiple specialty disciplines to include crime prevention, criminal investigations, corrections, traffic enforcement, installation access control, physical security, resource protection, electronic security, military working dogs, antiterrorism, critical asset risk management, combat arms training, and information, personnel and industrial security functions. Finally, the unit supports overseas contingency operations by maintaining trained and deployable air base defense capabilities.

The 27th Security Forces Squadron provides force protection, resource protection, weapons system security, combat arms maintenance and training, confinement and criminal investigations to those within the Cannon military community, along with a highly trained, motivated and mobile worldwide deployable force for all Air Expeditionary Forces and Special Operations Forces contingency operations.

The 30th Security Forces Squadron's mission is to safeguard Ballistic Missile and Space Launch Assets, Provide Exceptional Police Services for the Vandenberg Community and Promote a unit environment of Professionalism and Esprit de Corps. 

Security Forces at Vandenberg have one of the most unique missions in the entire Air Force. The daily defense of active Space Launch and Ballistic Missile launch facilities and vehicles at the Air Force's third largest installation.

31st Security Forces Squadron
Aviano AFB, Italy 

The 31st Security Forces Squadron maintains installation force protection during peacetime and wartime operations within eight separate base areas. It safeguards Protection Level one, two, three and four resources to include two F-16 fighter squadrons and provides law enforcement services to a community of almost 8,000. The squadron prepares more than 50 primary mobility personnel, maintains organic air base defense capabilities and provides staff assistance and security oversight to four geographically separated units.

The 36th Security Forces Squadron provides robust security support for five Major Command's Protection Level resources vital our Nation's security. The unit is also responsible for executing a strong law enforcement presence, providing a safe and secure environment for Team Andersen's military members and families to live, work and play. Stemming from the unit's Arc Light Defender heritage, security forces and their K-9 partners are ready, able and willing to respond a moment's notice to any situation at home station and abroad.

The mission of the 39th SFS is to provide unparalleled security for USAFE's largest weapons storage area. 

They also provide cutting edge force protection for Incirlik and its geographically separated units in Turkey, security for tanker and airlift operations supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, law enforcement services for Incirlik and support for numerous contingency operations in Europe and Asia.

The sentinels of the 42nd Security Forces Squadron provide continuous security for Air Force Protection Level II, III, and IV resources, tenant housing and combat elements at two geographically-separated locations as well as on- and off-base housing. The squadron maintains law and order, providing security for the base facilities and a continuous influx of distinguished visitors and students. In addition, the squadron maintains combat forces ready to deploy worldwide to operate from expeditionary bases.

49th Security Forces Squadron
Holloman AFB, NM

The 49th Security Forces Squadron provides law enforcement and security forces for the 49th Fighter Wing. The squadron protects the F-22 Raptor, as well as Air Force Space Command and other associate units' resources. The squadron is considered a medium-sized unit with over 255 military, civilian, and contract personnel assigned. The 49 SFS is committed to and focused on defending the force 24-hours a day, 365-days-a-year. 

Security forces personnel manage physical security, resource protection and information security programs involving more than 17,000 military and civilian personnel, a resident population in excess of 5,000 and $7.3 billion in U.S. Air Force resources. They also prepare policy positions on security, protection and law enforcement programs for the base, and provide combat arms training to Holloman personnel. Security forces is directly responsible for securing a 59K acre installation which contains ACC's most diverse airfield.

50th Security Forces Squadron
Schriever AFB, CO

The 50th Security Forces Squadron is a component of the 50th Mission Support Group, 50th Space Wing, Schriever Air Force Base, Colo., and was activated Jan. 30, 1992. 

The squadron protects 30 protection-level resources and more than 6,000 military and civilian personnel assigned to Schriever AFB. The 50 SFS provides physical security, force protection measures and law enforcement services and assists commanders in maintaining good order and discipline. It monitors physical security programs supporting 12 geographically separated units. The squadron also mobilizes security forces supporting higher headquarters' and national objectives.

The 55th Security Forces Squadron, located at Bldg #160, 198 Butler Blvd, protects and defends Offutt Air Force Base personnel and resources which include the Airborne National Command Post, four Presidential support aircraft and other C3 platforms valued over $9.1billion, through the application of weapons systems security; police services; combat arms; information, industrial, and personnel security; military working dogs; air base defense; and anti terrorism operations 24 hours a day/seven days a week. 

The unit encompasses three installation entry points, a Visitor Control Center, law enforcement patrols, flight line security, an investigative branch, Combat Arms Training and the wing antiterrorism office. Members of the unit conduct law enforcement and community policing functions throughout the base and the Offutt Military Family Housing community. This includes enforcing all speed limits and rules of the road.

The 75th SFS Provides force protection, physical security, law enforcement and combat arms training for the five wings of the Ogden Air Logistics Center, 388th Fighter Wing, 419th Fighter Wing and 46 associate units. The 75th SFS is the base focal point for anti terrorism, resource protection, pass and registration, tactical deception and security programs. The squadron also maintains air base defense forces and military working dog teams for wartime and contingency deployments.

The 91st Security Forces Group provides command and control for three squadrons -- the 791st Missile Security Forces Squadron, 91st Missile Security Forces Squadron and 91st Security Support Squadron -- for the active defense of assets vital to national security. The 91st SFG ensures security forces are trained, organized and equipped to secure 150 Minuteman III missiles and launch facilities and 15 missile alert facilities geographically separated throughout 8,500 square miles of the missile complex. All security support, including anti-terrorism, physical security measures and response forces for the 91st Missile Wing, are provided by the 91st SFG.

354th Security Forces Squadron

The 354th Security Forces Squadron is an extremely versatile unit with several important missions. Its members are assigned and organized under a three-flight concept: operations flight, resources and training flight, and administration and reports flight. 
The Operations Flight provides law enforcement and security services to Eielson Air Force Base and secures F-16, KC-135, and transient aircraft. It also supports a large mobility commitment. 
The Resources and Training Flight provides base weapons training, maintains the security forces armory, oversees a six dog military working dog section, and ensures security forces are trained and equipped to perform their missions in a tough arctic environment. 
The Administration and Reports Flight provides pass and registration, police report, resource protection, classification management, and crime prevention services to those on Eielson Air Force Base. 
The 354th Security Forces "Arctic Warriors" are a proud group of professionals dedicated to serving "above the rest."

325th Security Forces Squadron 
Tyndall AFB, FL

The 325th Security Forces Squadron is one of six squadrons assigned to the 325th Mission Support Group, 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. The squadron provides force protection programs to include weapon system security, police services, resource protection and antiterrorism for a 29,000-acre base with 128 miles of shoreline in support of 325th FW and 30 associate units. The squadron oversees personnel, information, and industrial security procedures for more than 6,700 assigned personnel. The 325th SFS also maintains a wartime and contingency rapid deployment capability to conduct force protection operations worldwide. 

Within the operations flight, the Tyndall "defenders" perform law enforcement, installation security, pass and registration, military working dog, antiterrorism, resource protection and installation security services. The law enforcement element of the flight performs base patrol and entry control operations while the security element is responsible for protection of assigned and temporary duty priority aircraft, command and control facilities, critical communications and air defense facilities. The military working dog section provides patrol dog, drug suppression and explosives detection services for the base, and frequently demonstrates dog team capabilities to the base and civic groups. The antiterrorism section provides a program to deter and detect terrorist acts against Tyndall by collecting and disseminating timely threat information and providing training to all base members on awareness and by developing comprehensive plans and programs. The resource protection office serves as the base program manager for the protection of government funds, pharmaceuticals, firearms and munitions. 

The training and resources flight is responsible for training, armory functions, combat arms and unit supply. The training section is tasked with training all assigned security forces, augmentees and all base personnel slated for Air Expeditionary Force deployment. The armory stores government firearms and munitions used by security forces and other on-base units. This section also supports courtesy storage of weapons and munitions for residents in the dorms and base housing. The combat arms shop operates the base's firing range and conducts classroom and live weapons training for all personnel assigned to Tyndall. 

The administration and reports flight is responsible for processing and storing all police reports and related documents. The base information security program, which includes industrial security and personnel security, is also managed through this office. They provided technical guidance in the protection of classified material, process and monitor security clearances, background investigations, and fingerprinting to the Tyndall community.

They provide gate security, base mobile patrols, security for Protection Level 1 resources in the Weapons Storage Area, and military working dog teams providing explosive and narcotic detection. They provide information, personnel, and industrial security administration. They operate the pass and registration office, visitors center and run Montana's first enhanced 911 center, which streamlines community 911 needs. They also operate a confinement facility supporting four Air Force bases.

341st Security Support Squadron

The 341st Security Support Squadron provides more than 1,200 security forces personnel with training, equipment and support to foster the most advanced war-fighting and combat-ready force in the Air Force Global Strike Command. It ensures forces are given the tools to support a base population of more than 10,000 and the largest ICBM complex in the world by training wing personnel in weapons qualifications and keys and codes for missile complex operations. It also trains, equips and mobilizes all 341st Security Forces Group personnel in support all Air Force domestic and aerospace expeditionary force missions.

The 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron organizes, trains, and equips combat ready personnel for mobile fire teams, maintenance security escort teams, camper alert teams and convoy response force members to provide 24-hour iron-clad security coverage. This diversified squadron secures 150 intercontinental ballistic missiles deployed throughout a 13,800-square mile missile complex. This unit provides the highest degree of force protection for ICBM's during on- and off-base convoy movements and during support of ICBM maintenance and supports national strategic deterrence policy directed by Unites States Strategic Command through Air Force Global Strike Command's ICBM combat arm.

The 355th Security Forces Squadron was constituted as the 355th Air Police Squadron, activated on 3 Nov 1965. It was redesignated as the 355th Security Police Squadron on 15 May 1967 and inactivated on 10 Dec 1970. The squadron was re-activated on 30 Sep 1976, inactivated on 1 Oct 1981, and re-activated once again on 1 May 1992. Finally, the squadron was redesignated as the 355th Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.

The 436th Security Forces Squadron is responsible for the safety and security of Dover Air Force Base's C-5 and C-17 fleet as well as law enforcement that affects the public safety of base residents and facilities. The squadron manages the 436th Airlift Wing's information and personnel security, combat arms training, drug suppression and criminal investigative support as well as crime and traffic analysis. Security Forces personnel work with the Judge Advocate General, Air Force Office of Special Investigation, wing leadership, Air Mobility Command staff, and federal, state, and local police. Security Forces also support the wing's mobility mission.

The 569 USFPS executes the Air Force’s largest law enforcement mission, covering 1.1K square miles and providing police services to over 57,000 DoD personnel and their dependents, all while deploying and redeploying members to 15 different locations worldwide.

721 Security Forces Squadron

The 721st SFS protects the priority resources at Cheyenne Mountain AS, as well as providing management and oversight of the base information security and industrial security programs to prevent compromise of classified information. They also register vehicles and provide law enforcement for the people there. They also have an air base defense squad committed to worldwide deployment.

The 721st SFS is composed of more than 110 members and controls an annual budget of $250,000 and equipment valued at $2.1 million.

The 721st SFS is tasked with providing security policy for all units at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station. It oversees the information security program, security forces operations and security forces plans and programs.

It also directs security for the Priority A resources of Cheyenne Mountain Air Station.

736th Security Forces Squadron
 Andersen AFB, Guam

Provide a rapidly deployable integrated defense capability and prepare expeditionary Airmen to deploy worldwide. The Contingency Response section provides first-in force protection for the 36th Contingency Response Group during air base opening, contingency, and humanitarian assistance operations throughout the Pacific area of operations. The unit is tasked with an airborne mission as well, and 17 members of the squadron are airborne qualified. Members of the unit also participate in subject matter expert exchanges with various allied nations within the theater. 

Commando Warrior Pacific Regional Training Center provides first class training to over 900 Airmen annually. Commando Warrior personnel conduct a 17-day pre-deployment training focusing on ground combat skills in order to prepare Security Forces members for combat operations downrange. Commando Warrior also teaches a five-day Anti-Terrorism Level II course, and a 12-day Electronic Security Systems course. The schoolhouse has 25 instructors assigned to it, all with high levels of deployment experience, ensuring that all students receive the most up-to-date training.

The support functions provide the needed logistics and administrative overview to ensure the success of the squadron's two unique missions.

Training is the main priority in the 736th Security Forces Squadron. Whether Airmen are training on static defense, weapons, airborne operations, or sniper engagements, members of the 736th Security Forces Squadron can normally be found in the training areas of Anderson South or Northwest field honing their skills.

820TH BASE DEFENSE GROUP

The 820th Base Defense Group was activated in 1997 as an exceptionally trained force protection unit of 12 Air Force Specialty Codes with an airborne capability. At a moment's notice, the group provides the expeditionary Air Force's only worldwide deployable, "first-in", fully integrated, multi disciplined, highly qualified, self-sustaining force protection capability. There is no other security forces or force protection unit in the Air Force with the extensive amount of training, diverse deployment history and multi-service validation as the 820th BDG. The 820th SFG consists of the 820th Combat Operations Squadron, the 822d Base Defense Squadron, the 823d Base Defense Squadron and the 824th Base Defense Squadron.

The 820th Combat Operations Squadron provides planning, training, equipping and preparation of the three security forces squadrons. They maintain a high operational tempo to support cyclic rotations of deployment, on-call, and reconstitution/training status. The squadron provides the 820th BDG the administrative structure and oversight necessary to meet continuing responsibilities of overseas contingency operations and ongoing high operations tempo at home station and overseas. They provide reachback for deployed warfighters and supports the reconstitution of redeploying squadrons. All personnel are ready to deploy at all times and maintain combat and specialty training standards.
