National Police Week
USAF POLICE MEMORIAL CEREMONY
Join the USAF Police Alumni Association as we honor USAF Military Police (1947-1948), Air Police (1948 – 1966), Security Police (1966 – 1997) and Security Forces (1997 – Present) at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Air Force Memorial on May 9th, 2015.
National Police Week is officially May 10th – May 16th 2015. The USAF Police Alumni Association will honor our fallen heroes as Police Week kicks off in Washington, D.C. We will place wreaths at both the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Air Force Memorial and have them present throughout National Police Week.
All United States Air Force Security Forces, Security Police, Air Police and their family members and supporters are encouraged to join us for two special ceremonies:
May 9th, 2015 – 9:30 AM
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
Judiciary Square Metro Stop (between 4th & 5th and E and F Streets N.W.) <--- Google Maps Link.
Simple ceremony: Join USAF Police Alumni Association as we place a wreath at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. After placing the wreath we will observe a moment of silence.

Formal Memorial Ceremony: Join USAF Police Alumni Association and invited guests for our first annual USAF Police National Police Week Memorial Service. USAF Police, Active, Former & Retired will gather to pay respect and honor our fallen heroes. We will place a wreath at the Air Force Memorial and read the names of 147 USAF fallen AP, MP, SP and SF heroes.
Visitors are encouraged to spend time after the ceremony to share war stories, friendship and fellowship.
