Security Patrol Vehicles

Vehicles utilized to provide security patrolling on the flight line, WSA and base.

1950's Air Police Jeep

I have been restoring Military Jeeps and I came across one that was painted strata blue. Immediately I decided to build an Air Force Jeep and in my research I contacted the Hill Air Force Base Museum and they were able to find me a publication T.O. 36-1-3 that came out in 1958 on the markings of USAF vehicles. this showed the markings of an Air Police Jeep that I though would be an interesting Jeep to build.

So the Jeep restoration began and I knew what direction I was going. I was not able to find any good photo's of the AP jeeps just a lot of other vehicles. I followed the T.O. 36-1-3 plus the markings I found on the hood of the jeeps. I figured I can't go wrong with that.

I hope I've done this up right and it is a tribute to the USAF Air Police.

I would like to find 1960 period correct uniforms, helmet, badges, all of the accessories. any help on this would be appreciated.
