Richard "Rick" Marcrum - Membership - Board Member 

Rick is a seasoned veteran in the police, military and security fields. He has over 30 years of combined service in support of United States civilian and military efforts worldwide.  Recently he worked in the HCT Police program in Sweihan where he was responsible for curriculum development.  His main project was the Borders and Security program where he was lead in developing the basis for the program prior to his leaving HCT in June of 2015.  Rick specializes in physical security having been on active duty with the United States Air Force.
 
He has worked in support of security projects ranging from the Olympic Games in Los Angeles to the support and security of US dignitaries and presidents.  During his time in the United States Air Force, Rick has had direct roles designing and implementing security programs for high value locations and personnel.  Specializing is mitigating threats to high value targets, Rick spent three years in Afghanistan directing security efforts and force protection measures for US and Coalition forces.  Having extensive knowledge in implementing security measures to include utilizing working dogs he successfully completed his Afghanistan project with zero loss or resources of life.
 
His strong Information and Technology background has helped to secure data centers in the military arena as well as in the commercial market.  With the ability to quickly point out vulnerabilities Rick can effectively design physical security measures for small and large projects.
 
Rick has spent time in and around the Middle East and Southwest Asia starting back in 1991 in support of US efforts in Kuwait to recent efforts in Afghanistan.  Rick understands the cultural difference and the need to adapt and respect local laws and customs, having spent time in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. Consistent delivery has been his way of doing business since leaving school and joining the military.  He understands the value of quality training and solutions and believes that doing it right the first time should be ones goal.
 
Rick Marcrum holds a Masters in Criminal Justice, a Masters in Information Technology Management, a graduate of the United States Air Force Security Police Academy, Patrol Dog School, Explosives Detection School, NCO Leadership Academy, Emergency Services Team School, Canine Supervisors Course and Air Base Ground Defense School.  Rick is qualified on all of the US military standard issue weapons to include the M4, Beretta 9mm, Glock .40, Remington pump and semi auto shotgun.  Originally from Austin, Texas, Rick has been married to his wife Iza for over 36 years and understands the importance of commitment and adaptability.​
