2024 Scholarship Program

The USAF Police Alumni Foundation (USAF PAF) is pleased to announce our 2024 Scholarships Program winners! 

Kaitlin C. Benthin of Maryland. Kaitlin is the dependent daughter of a USAF Security Forces veteran and is starting her freshman year at the University of Tennessee working towards a degree in Animal Science. Kaitlin is also a world class competition shooter, a sport she learned her love for from her father. Congratulations Kaitlin, we look forward to hearing from as your studies progress in Tennessee.

Jacob Page of North Carolina is the son of a USAF Security Forces Retiree, who served 28+ years as a Defender. Jacob will be pursuing his educational goals at the Appalachian State University, where he is a junior and is pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management. Jacob has a lot of respect for the service of his father in Security Forces and shared his commitment to dedication, professionalism, and service. Congratulations Jacob, we look forward to hearing from as your studies progress in North Carolina.

Esmeralda Guzman of California is the daughter of a Security Forces veteran who served honorably for 6 years. Esmeralda will be pursuing her educational goals in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial Organizational Psychology at California State University, Fresno. Esmeralda hopes to obtain a master’s degree in Psychology and work in either law enforcement or veteran organizations, supporting human resources. Congratulations Esmeralda, we look forward to hearing from as your studies progress in California.

USAF Police Alumni Foundation Scholarship Important Information ​

 
Who is Eligible to Apply?
  • Applicant must be 17 years of age or older
  • Applicant must meet at least one of the following:
  • Serving honorably in the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve, or Air National Guard as Security Forces or CATM
  • USAF, AFR, ANG veteran or retiree honorable discharged or retired and served in Security, Law Enforcement or CATM
  • Spouse of active duty who is serving honorably in the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and is actively enrolled in a college, university or trade school.
  • Dependent child of active duty Security Forces serving honorably in the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, who has not yet reached their 25th birthday and is actively enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school.
 
*Qualifying applicants must indicate current rank, AFSC and duty assignment.

What is the Scholarship Amount?
  • Three (3) $2,000 scholarships will be awarded.

What are the USAF Police Scholarship Submission Requirements?
  • Each applicant must:
    • Answer all questions on the application.
    • Write a brief essay (no more than 500 words) describing their commitment to their goals and how this scholarship will help them attain these goals.

What are the Scholarship Deadlines?   *** 2025 Scholarships will be announce in Spring 2025​
