3rd LES Strike Force

Strike Force (3rd LES SPOI/SF) was a section that operated under SP Investigations. A small section, operating primarily at night. They conducted covert, tactical surveillance operations to detect intruders utilizing NVG’s, Starlight Scopes and Thorn units (thermal imaging). Thorns were posted on FM Hill and the hospital roof. Others were posted along the base perimeter or on facilities that there was intel that it may be hit by intruders. The primary mission was anti crime/theft, but during increased threat, it shifted more to counter terrorism. They also utilized HUMMV outfitted with a pair of C-130 landing lights mounted to the roof gun turret. The section was comprised of SP and DOD Police (Philippino).
